These are hymn lyrics Daniel has written:
Praying in My Heart to God in Song
Mere words cannot capture,
The scope of your love,
Your beauty’s like nature,
For your gaze is above.
Discerning and thoughtful,
Your counsel is sure,
Your harshness is graceful,
And your speech fair and pure.
Determinedly focused,
To get the job done,
You’ll never a tear shed,
And will not be outrun.
As I often ponder,
What life would become?
Without a kind mother,
I just feel so undone!
Lord, send Godly mothers,
To impact mankind,
For her love just smothers,
Being hard or unkind.
Verses:
Ye servants must endure your yoke,
And blaspheme not God’s name,
The proud take lightly, as a joke,
Their discourse brings them shame.
When serving just and kindly lords,
You shan’t despise your role,
But strive to capture your rewards,
Content with God’s great goal.
The rich will fall into a snare–
Their foolish, hurtful lusts,
Which drown men in destruction rare,
Perdition, their soul, rusts.
The love of money’s the root of wrong,
Which some do, erring, crave,
Their faith they have transgressed so long,
More sorrows they must brave.
O man of God, flee lusts hereof,
And follow after right,
Let patience, meekness, faith, and love,
Remain your guiding light.
Chorus:
Fight! Fight — the good faithful fight,
Laying hold on eternal life,
Quickened in God’s holy sight,
Cast down your old mortal strife.
Verses:
Our life is a vapor,
We know not our days,
The time becomes lost, when,
We’re singing God’s praise.
The earth is a word,
Our bodies are dust.
Whatever befalls us,
Our souls must not rust.
The fishes and fowls,
The sea and the sky
They all now exist, but,
Are soon doomed to die!
The mountains and hilltops,
Will look all around,
Then, shouting God’s glory,
The whole earth will sound.
Chorus:
God breathed, and the earth was laid,
God breathed, and man’s soul was made,
It’s all in our Creator’s hand,
He formed man out of worthless sand,
Through Him we speak and stand!
Verses:
Extraordinary is the word,
That well defines God’s peace,
But waveless ripples in the sea,
Do paint its still release.
A bird glides o’er the spacious skies,
Its wings do tranquilly soar,
Unless God’s peace doth fill our hearts,
Our life will always roar.
Precisely do the planets move,
Their orbits so complex,
Yet as they gracefully journey by,
God’s peace doth still perplex.
When conflicts rise, and doubts assail,
Our life turns into strife,
So call upon God’s Word right now,
His peace is surely rife.
Chorus:
God’s peace, God’s peace, My soul’s at rest,
My voice sings like a bird,
God’s peace, God’s peace, My life is blest,
I marvel at His word.
Verses:
Lord Jesus Christ, supporting bridge,
On you the strings of life are strung,
Without your mighty stabling hand,
My ordered life would soon be flung.
Around God’s Word, the scroll of life,
My hope, success, and love, are wound,
I can resist the vilest pull,
When in Him my peg of faith is ground.
When sharps arise and flats assail,
Remember God’s omniscient plan,
If Satan buffets, tempts, and tries,
Resound, “I’m God’s own chosen man!”
When brok’n at last my song may be,
And silenced on this earth below,
I’ll stand before my gracious King,
And at His feet, my crowns, I’ll throw.
Chorus:
I am His instrument,
God’s controlling me,
And where His finger points,
I’ll always be
Verses:
As I rise from thought-filled slumber,
And my work is opening,
I will always strive for exc’llence,
While relying on my king.
During party games and pleasure,
When I’m never, never bored,
Though my appetite is roaring,
I will always serve the Lord!
If my passions and emotions
Make my eyes, the world, to scan,
I will yield my mind and will, now,
To the Master’s royal plan.
Throughout trials and temptations,
When I feel I can’t go on,
My Lord Jesus Christ will strengthen–
Turn the darkness into dawn.
When a day on earth is finished,
And I drop into my bed,
I will always still remember,
Of the matchless grace He shed.
When in glory He receives me,
As a persevering son,
He will kindly nobly signal,
That the holiday’s begun.
Chorus:
So my life is like a mountain,
Ever luring, ever cruel,
But if I look to my Savior,
Then I’ll never be a fool!
Verses:
Although my life was full of sin,
Through Adam’s mortal fall,
I can erase the guilt within,
By answering God’s call.
So as He gives me breathe to speak
I’ll shout His mercy loud,
For He stretched forth His hand to seek,
A soul lost in the crowd.
When I, in times of agony,
Declare my Savior’s love,
I know God will descend on me,
Since He is like a dove.
God gives a song, my heart responds,
With joy, His praise, I’ll sing.
I’ll stand alone, I’ll bear His bonds,
To glorify my King!
As I mature and leave the wild,
I focus on my Lord.
I feel no longer like a child,
And will not sheathe my sword.
And when I stand before the throne,
I’ll bow before Him low,
He, with his hand, will make me known,
His love I’ll ne’er outgrow.
If I could suffer all His pain,
And bear the sin He bore,
I still could not, no not complain,
His child I’m evermore.
My Great Redeemer, sing His praise,
Through Him I speak and see.
To worship Him for all my days,
Is my consuming plea!
Chorus:
How merciful, how powerful,
Thy praises Lord, to sing,
My walk with Thee will ne’er be dull,
My all-surpassing King!
Praying in My Heart to God in Song
Verses:
As I ponder how you suffered, bled, and wept,
I’m a sinner and in need of grace, accept,
There’s no other way to cleanse the stains except,
Praying in my heart to God in song!
When God gives me a desire for His will,
And the road the earth is leading is downhill,
I’ll be God’s dear child and shall, His will, fulfill,
Believing on the Lord to save my soul.
Fleeing from the sin of stubbornness, my crime,
To Thy holy mountains, with my soul, I’ll climb,
There I will find Heaven, with my Lord, sublime,
Praying in my heart to God in song!
Satan’s ways are harsh and often burdensome,
Join the flag of Jesus and of Christendom,
With my Lord’s commandment I will overcome,
Praying in my heart to God in song!
Chorus:
Praying, Singing,
Satan cannot my soul annoy,
Praying, Singing,
All of my heart is full of joy.
